The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper University Hospital offers women of all ages a full range of advanced medical programs and services through all stages of a woman’s life.

From the management of pregnancy and delivery, to the prevention, detection and treatment of disorders of the reproductive system, Cooper’s OB/GYN physicians, nurses and support personnel specialize in all areas of gynecological, maternal-fetal, reproductive, pelvic and sexual health.
Also, a full spectrum of Childbirth and Family Education programs – from childbirth preparation and breastfeeding classes to prenatal yoga and infant CPR –is available to help patients make the best decisions for themselves and their families.

In addition to providing patient care, Cooper’s OB/GYN physicians are faculty of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School-Camden campus. They also provide training for future OB/GYN specialists through medical residency and fellowship programs at Cooper University Hospital.
Many of Cooper’s OB/GYN physicians participate in research studies, giving patients with problems the opportunity to benefit from the newest procedures and medications.
All of Cooper’s OB/GYN sub-specialists are fellowship-trained, offering expert services and treatment options in vital areas of female, reproductive, and maternal-fetal health.
Also, Cooper is distinguished as a state-designated Regional Perinatal Center. The Center serves the region’s highest-risk patients in need of the most serious care. In fact, other area hospitals transport their high-risk perinatal patients to Cooper.
Gynecologic services are also available for pediatric patients. The service includes not only out-patient evaluations but also exams under anesthesia and pediatric gynecologic surgery.

Female Pelvic Medicine and Recontructive Surgery Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery services include the assessment and treatment of incontinence, pelvic and recurrent urinary tract infections, uterine, vaginal, or bladder prolapse following hysterectomy, and other lower urinary tract disorders. |

Gynecologic Oncology The Gynecologic Cancer Center, based in Voorhees, provides expert, compassionate care for women with cancer and pre-cancerous diseases of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, vulva, and vagina. |

Maternal - Fetal Medicine Maternal-fetal medicine deals exclusively with high-risk conditions of both the mother and her baby. As part of a regional perinatal center, we provide a wide range of comprehensive services for pregnant women with low- and high-risk pregnancies. Services are available at six convenient locations. |

Reproductive Endocrinology We perform well over 1000 In Vitro egg retrievals per year and are one of the largest IVF programs in the United States. Additionally, we are one of the first centers to offer a shared oocyte program in which one patient can share half of her oocytes with another patient in exchange for almost entirely free IVF services. |
