If you are a woman diagnosed with breast or gynecologic cancer, your cancer journey should not be traveled alone. You need an entire team managing and coordinating every aspect of your care.
The Women’s Cancer Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper - the first of its kind in the region - takes a personalized approach to cancer care, because no two women, and no two women’s cancer experience, are the same.
At MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, no one fights cancer alone.
The clinical aspects of our program focus on providing patients with access to advanced treatment options such as the targeted therapies and immunotherapy, innovative radiation treatment options, genomic tumor testing, clinical trials, and a full range of supportive care services.
But what truly sets our program apart, is our collaborative approach to care and the relationships that develop between members of the care team and the patients
There is no greater responsibility than when a patient puts their life in your hands. Our team recognizes and values this trust.
Access to Clinical Trials and Supportive Care Services
In addition to advanced screening, detection, treatment, and survivorship care, the Women's Cancer Program also offers access to novel clinical trials to identify new approaches to cancer treatments.
Cancer treatments are constantly evolving and advancing, new methods and medications are always in development. Patients who choose to participate in a trial at MD Anderson at Cooper receive the most advanced cancer treatment available, sometimes years before it’s offered anywhere else.
Additionally, through our partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the nation’s leading cancer centers, patients have access to the same cancer treatment plans delivered at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.
Patient care extends beyond our outstanding clinical services. We recognize the emotional and spiritual toll that cancer can take on the lives of patients and their families, and that managing only the physical aspects of the disease is not enough. To address these needs, the Women’s Cancer Program provides patients with a wide variety of support services, such as behavioral medicine, complementary medicine, nutritional counseling and social work services to help manage life during treatment and recovery.
