Mr. Lambrecht joined Cooper in 2022 as the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. In his role, Mr. Lambrecht leads Cooper’s quality, safety, and regulatory efforts. He also provides leadership for Cooper’s journey in high reliability and serves as co-Champion of the Quality and High Reliability Pillar with Dr. Kara Aplin, Cooper’s Vice President of Medical Affairs.
Mr. Lambrecht joins Cooper from Inspira Health, where he worked for the past 35 years. Since 2013, he served as the System Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, where he led the high reliability transformation and development of a safety management system which achieved a 90% reduction in serious preventable patient harm over a four-year period. He also led successful regulatory surveys, coordinated the system response to COVID-19, and achieved and maintained a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of “A” for the health system.
A respiratory therapist and paramedic by training, Mr. Lambrecht received his Bachelor of Science degree from Rowan University, his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Widener University, and his Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law degree from Widener University School of Law. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, a Certified Professional in Patient Safety, a graduate of the IHI Chief Quality Officer program, and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
