Mission Statement
The Cooper Center for Resuscitation Education and Community Engagement is committed to being the area’s leader in resuscitation education for health care providers and the surrounding community.
Resuscitation Education
As an authorized training center through the American Heart Association, Cooper is proud to offer courses in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and AHA instructor courses. In addition to Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) course offerings through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Using modern equipment and simulated rescuer experiences, our team educates approximately 3,700 individuals annually through courses offered at our training center and external locations.
Community Engagement
The community plays a vital role in initiating lifesaving care during an emergency. For that reason, the Center for Resuscitation and Community Engagement provides community education and growth opportunities by:
- Providing education and skills sessions related to CPR, AEDs, and First Aid to the community.
- Exploring innovative programs to deliver training to underserved communities.
- Partnering with community leaders and officials to identify needs and barriers related to educational opportunities.
