What Sets Cooper's Breast Imaging Centers Apart
EXPERTISE.Research shows that where you get your mammogram makes a difference and that a mammogram is only as good as the radiologist who reads it. At Cooper’s Breast Imaging Centers, our team includes imagers who specialize in breast imaging. All of our breast imaging specialists are fellowship trained and are associate/assistant professors at Cooper Medical School at Rowan University.
EXCELLENCE.Cooper’s Breast Imaging Centers have been designated Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology – the only hospital-based imaging program in South Jersey with this designation. The accreditation shows that the Cooper’s Breast Imaging Centers meet the highest standards of the radiology profession. A Center of Excellence designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that have demonstrated excellence in breast imaging by achieving accreditation in mammography, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided biopsy and stereotactic breast biopsy.
CARE.Few mammography centers anywhere offer both the skill and gentle touch of the breast imaging technologists at Cooper. All of our technologists are mammography certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists. Our technologists make every effort to minimize discomfort and inconvenience and ensure a clear, accurate image on the first image capture.
COLLABORATION.Cooper Breast Imaging physicians and staff are integral members of the breast cancer multidisciplinary team. Working with our colleagues in surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, we ensure that you are guided through the breast cancer program seamlessly and efficiently so that there are no delays in treatment.
RESPONSIVENESS.The results of your imaging study are reported to you and your ordering physician within days. If there is a problem, patients are contacted by phone or mail to have diagnostic studies scheduled. After a diagnostic study, a breast imager will immediately discuss the findings with you, and if additional tests (such as needle biopsy) are necessary they will be scheduled before you leave the center. Referring physicians are contacted with the results and the breast imager’s recommendations.
CONVENIENCE.Cooper’s Breast Imaging Centers are located in Voorhees, Camden, and Cherry Hill, NJ, offering both evening and weekend hours.
