Expert Care for Urinary, Pelvic Organ, and Voiding Disorders
You are not alone.
Urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and voiding disorders affect millions of women every year. Many are embarrassed by their problem. They often view such difficulties as part of the aging process that can’t be cured.
If you are suffering from such a condition, there is no need to feel alone or hesitant about discussing your problem with a Cooper Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon. We have the expertise, diagnostic equipment, and therapeutic options to help. In most cases, we can either cure the problem or significantly reduce the symptoms.
Why Choose Cooper for Treatment of Urinary, Pelvic, and Voiding Disorders
Expert Diagnosis: Cooper has expert diagnostic capabilities to determine the most appropriate means of care. Depending on your specific needs, we may recommend noninvasive therapy or an outpatient surgical procedure. In all cases, we use the most advanced techniques and the most up-to-date technology.
Compassionate Care: Our physicians and support staff are committed to treating women with compassion and sensitivity. Social, emotional and hormonal issues—as well as physical causes—are always considered in determining the appropriate care.
Latest Treatment Options: Our physicians are members of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper University Health Care and are faculty of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Because we teach and publish, we remain on the forefront of the latest surgical techniques and non-surgical treatment options.
Diagnostic Services
Women can count on us for the best and most up-to-date diagnostic services. All testing is done in a comfortable, private setting. Among the diagnostic tests administered by the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery team at Cooper are the following:
- Cystometric Testing - Cystometric testing is the use of very small catheters to evaluate the function of the bladder during filling and emptying. This outpatient test is used for women with complex symptoms and for those who have had unsuccessful surgeries in the past.
- Cystoscopy - We perform video-guided flexible cystoscopy, an easy and painless evaluation of uncomfortable voiding disorders, bloody urine, and postoperative voiding problems.
Treatment Options
We provide comprehensive therapies--a full range of laparoscopic, abdominal, and vaginal suspensions for prolapse and incontinence. Other treatment options include:
- Biofeedback and FES (functional electrical stimulation).
- Physical therapy.
- Interstim® neuromodulation.
- Periurethral injections.
- Bladder instillations.
These procedures are performed in our offices, at our outpatient surgical facilities in Voorhees, or inpatient settings.
