About Me

Ian Walker, MD, grew up in Dallas, TX, and completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University. Following graduation, he participated in nonprofit work on health policy in Washington, DC, before receiving his medical degree from the UT Southwestern Medical School. During his time as a medical student, he conducted research on ketogenic diet therapy in children with refractory epilepsy. Dr. Walker completed his internship at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, neurology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and movement disorders fellowship at University of Pennsylvania Health System. His research interests include development of biomarkers in Parkinson's disease and analysis of gait abnormalities in Huntington’s disease. Outside of medicine, he enjoys songwriting, playing music with friends, and tennis.
